A double welcome awaits

St Faiths Church is two churches in one. In December 2003 the Methodist and Church of England congregations signed a sharing agreement and created a Fresh Expresion of Church. We are still two Churches but we worship and work together.

The villages of Horsham and Newton St Faith are ancient dating back to pre-Norman times. After the Norman invasions in 1066 the villages were given to William the Conqueror’s armourer. His grandson, Robert Fitzwater and his wife Sybil built St Faith’s Priory in 1106. The Parish Church which replaced the Saxon church dates back to the 13th century.

Friends...

2007 saw the launch of ‘The Friends of Horsham St Faith Parish Church’ Many churches in the Church of England were built hundreds of years ago and are now listed. Maintaining a Church like St Faiths is financially very heavy. Maybe you have a connection with the Church either through marriage; family connections; baptism or perhaps you live in the village. Being a Friend means you can support the Church ensuring it remains a vibrant part of the village community, today and for generations to come.
